About Tashkent Medical Academy
On July 19, 2005, the Tashkent Medical Academy was founded by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The academy began with 4662 students and faculties such as General Medicine, Pedagogy, and Nursing. Around 765 postgraduates and 205 physicians receive their education at the institute.
The MBBS programme at Tashkent Medical Academy is based on the generation of highly skilled professionals on 58 chairs through clinical skills acquisition. The institute adopted “On coordination and monitoring of research efforts” as part of a grant on the environment and human health. The institute is divided into seven different scientific councils.
Tashkent Medical Academy has created relationships with a number of foreign departments of education and research organisations in order to foster collaboration between leading higher education institutions in the NIS and beyond. WHO, MCI, and UNESCO have all given the university their approval.
